Packing It Up

I am beginning to see packing and moving to a new space as another chance to be creative and re-decorate.  When I start that process I put together boards moving around pictures of furniture I have, and adding pictures of things I intend to pick up for the new space to begin pulling the look of each room together. 

I thought it would be fun to share a little bit of each room with you to get a sneak peek into the beginning stages.  Then when it is all done, I’ll share the completed space. 

Let start with the room I am calling “The Parlor.”  It is really a fancy name for the room attached to the Master Bedroom.  My bedroom has french doors that open into another large room with a fireplace, and I am using it as my library/painting room/creative space.  I like to have a color story for every room, this was inspired by the vintage blue Porter chair that I have that will be in the room…

Of course I had to infuse a little Joyus into my space - the finial for the top of my lamp love that organic infusion.
